The Pain Lifter is a Tainted Coil second-generation ranged vehicle that specializes in destroying infantry.

The Pain Lifter can first be seen guarding the entrance to Bladehenge after the events of "Doom's Dawn", and can be encountered later on, during the Stage Battle between Ironheade and the Tainted Coil in "Abomination Overdrive".

Role[]

Ranged vehicle, infantry-killer, summoned only through a Warfather. Superior version available.

The Pain Lifter operates like a catapult, slinging its explosive Agony Balls into groups of targets from a long distance away. These projectiles have a devastating effect on infantry in particular, destroying massed groups with ease.

Double Team[]

Drivable vehicle. Doviculus can aim, fire, and roll the Agony Ball, and trigger its detonation.

Using the Pain Lifter's attack will lock the vehicle in place and give the player a targeting reticule, similar to the Rock Crusher double team. While Double Teamed, the player has full control over the Agony Ball after it is launched, allowing it to be fired in front of an advancing group and then rolled into position before detonation. The Agony Ball will eventually explode on its own if the player doesn't detonate it.
